Waheeda qualified in 2006 at a London/West End firm focused on property law. Her diversification into other areas of practice have been closely related to property (contractual disputes, debt recovery). She maintains a passion for property law, transactional and contentious; this has been and continues to be her focus.
Dealing with a spectrum of transactional matters in both residential and commercial property, including secured lending work- for first time buyers through to property
investment individuals and businesses. Waheeda prides herself in offering her clients bespoke client care. This is also the case for contentious work- which includes: disputes between co-owners/trusts of land disputes, adverse possession, debt recovery, easements/rights of way, and landlord and tenant matters.
Waheeda’s dispute resolution approach is that reaching a settlement is preferable to litigation; she strives to achieve this for the clients where possible and appropriate in order to minimise time, costs and stress that can be involved in prolonged negotiations and/or court proceedings.
Waheeda is originally from Mauritius so also speaks her mother-tongue, Creole; she enjoys visiting whenever possible to see family and friends, and to simply enjoy the lush greenness of the island. She is a keen cook, yoga-enthusiast and loves music.
